“Started in 1991 as a research center under the Research Institute of Sanata Dharma University, Indonesian Language and Intensive Course (ILCIC) was designed to provide Indonesian Language and Culture for Teachers in Perth, Western Australia. Having seen the well appreciated program of ILCIC and the prospective staff in the Center,it was thought that it would be possible to have similar short couses of English for Indonesian students. Again, the English short courses were gained the popularity in addition to the four semester programs of the English Extension Course which was founded earlier.
After the successful courses of ILCIC for teachers and English short courses, the Center was developed into Language Institute because ,then, it provides not only Indonesian but also Javanese, Korean, Mandarin, and the newest one is Japanese. This Center becomes the favourite places for Indonesian students, lecturers and some others to take training in Academic English so that the participants will be able to gain the scholarship to study abroad.
Please join us in our programs and ask for further information in the Institute. We welcome you all and HAVE FUN WITH LANGUAGES and CULTURES in small interactive classes.”
