26 July 2019  – The new era has begun. This event marked the changes in our structure as Bu Truly replaced Bu Tata as the head of Asian Language Division while Bu Patrice replaced Bu Marni as the head of Translation Division. This event took place at Balai Njoenja, Condong Catur at 18.00 to 20.00. All staffs of Lembaga Bahasa participated in this wonderful event. The Sanata Dharma University hymn started the event as we are part of Sanata Dharma University. Then, Ibu Ria gave her speech related to her experience in working together with Bu Marni. Then, Bu Marni also told her wonderful experience working at Lembaga Bahasa especially with Arin, the coordinator of Translation division and Pak Kun, the Lembaga Bahasa Secretary. After the speeches, we presented something for our former head of translation division and Asian Language division.  This event was not a sad event since we all welcomed our new heads of divisions with our big hope and warm welcome while we also still embraced the memory we had with the former heads of divisions. Thank you so much for the wonderful years, Bu Tata and Bu Marni!  

25 July 2019  – After learning for 2 weeks with ILCIC, Lembaga Bahasa Universitas Sanata Dharma, 7 students from Mandurah Baptist College had to say goodbye to the teachers. The students had finished all learning Indonesian Language process at LBUSD therefore we held the closing ceremony. Taking place at ruang Kadarman, the closing ceremony was so fun. Both teachers and students performed songs they had prepared so well. Students also had chance to review what they had done during their stay through videos provided by ILCIC teachers and ACICIS staffs. They also received certificates handed by Bu Ria, the head of LBUSD. See you again, friends!

19 July 2019 – Bu Ria as the head of Lembaga Bahasa Sanata Dharma University opened the closing ceremony followed by Paul Wallace-the program coordinator and Bu Moses-homestay owner. After that, the teachers showed angklung and singing performance. The teachers also gave students present in the form of a video showing their activities during their learning in ILCIC, LBUSD. After that, the students received their certificate to mark their completion. The closing ceremony is closed with a feast.

17 July 2019  – 15 students from Konkuk University, South Korea learned at ILCIC, Lembaga Bahasa Universitas Sanata Dharma for two weeks. They surely learned Bahasa Indonesia in fun ways since most of the activities provided by teachers are game. In Indonesia, they also learned how to dance traditional dance. Thank you for learning with us!

13 July 2019 – CEIC and CESP teachers and students had an amazing chance to participate in AUT Indonesia Centre (AUTIC) Cultural Forum & to have some brief interaction and good cultural experience especially from New Zealand. In this event, Minister of Education and Culture, Pak Muhadjir Effendy; Maori tribe representatives; AUT Staff; and Indonesian Institution from Muhammadyah Malang University, Oryzabasa Jakarta and Muhammadyah Pare-Pare University also participated.  Firstly, Maori Greetings and Performance started the event and after that, we also enjoyed Gamelan workshop from AUT staff from New Zealand (Kiwi).

8 July 2019 – The third batch of PHD program students learned at Lembaga Bahasa Universitas Sanata Dharma. This time, 54 students learned 4 hours language class and 2 hours Indonesian for Specific Purpuses. They specifically learned about public health in Indonesia. Although it was only 6 hours, it seemed that they all enjoyed the program.

Previous Next 28 June 2019 – Bu Tata, the Asian Language Center head, and Matius, the promotion manager, had been working at Lembaga Bahasa for 3 years. However, this year they decided to resign to get new challenges. That was the reason we held the farewell party at Lalawuh Sunda. We celebrated it by having a feast and enjoying live music. In the end, we sang together for both Matius and Bu Tata. Thank you so much for everything, good luck!

Previous Next 27 June 2019 – 10 students from Jesuit Novices Congregation started to learn English for Specific Purposes and Indonesian Language. 9 Indonesian students learn English at CESP Lembaga Bahasa to prepare their study at Sekolah Tinggi Filsafat Driyarkara, Jakarta. In addition, 1 student from Thailand also learn Indonesian at ILCIC Lembaga Bahasa also to prepare his next study at the same university.

Previous Next 20 June 2019 – The needs of academic essay writing for teachers and lecturers in Yogyakarta are now increasing. Therefore, CESP in collaboration with CEIC held an academic essay writing workshop for English teachers due to the lack of academic essay writing teachers. The facilitator of this workshop was Arina Isti’anah S.Pd., M.Hum. In this workshop, firstly, she introduced some national and international journals. Then, she also focused on Sinta journal and how to get published on those journals especially on journals accredited Sinta 3, 4 and 5. In this occasion, she also taught to find research opportunity from abstracts made by the participants.
