18 February 2020 – Indonesian Language and Culture Intensive Course (ILCIC) of Lembaga Bahasa Sanata Dharma University (LBUSD) had to say goodbye for one of ILCIC teachers, Mbak Rosendi. Mbak Rosendi was part of the ILCIC for more than 1 year in ILCIC LBUSD and she joined the team for content of the learning book made in ILCIC. Now she had to continue her journey in different country. The program has a purpose to introduce Bahasa Indonesia to foreign country. There are several countries that is set as the destination to teach and introduce the culture of Indonesia.

She passed the test for Pusat Pengembangan Strategi dan Diplomasi Kebahasaan (PPSDK) program. Before Mbak Rosendi, we have Mbak Aning and Mbak Esti who did the same program but with different countries. Mbak Aning was sent to Timor Leste, while Mbak Esti was sent to Cambodia. This time, Mbak Rosendi was sent in mission to Vietnam, still in South East Asia. She will be there for approximately 6 months. Mbak Rosendi will teach Bahasa Indonesia for native Vietnamese. Not only language, mbak Rosendi will also teach about Indonesian culture including how to greet people, how to handshake on the first meeting with people that we don’t know, how to give something using the ‘proper’ hand, and so on.
