Lembaga Bahasa USD

14 February 2020 – Today is a special day because Creative Art and Design Practice (CADPP) also Development Studies Practice (DSPP) had finshed their program in Indonesia. They learned Bahasa Indonesia intensively in Lembaga Bahasa USD for 2 weeks and continued with the internship program to several offices they had chosen. This program was conducted by Australian Consortium For In Country Indonesian Studies (ACICIS) in several cities in Indonesia. Lembaga Bahasa USD was the learning institution partner that was trusted to teach the students to learn Bahasa Indonesia.

The closing ceremony was held in Kundjono Room in Sanata Dharma University. It was a special occasion since the closing was not only for the students and teacher from LBUSD, but the tutors and mentors from each student during their internship was also invited to come to the closing ceremony. More than 100 people attended this closing ceremony. The closing was begun with teachers’ performance. They played traditional music instruments from Indonesia called Angklung.

After a stunning performance from the teacher, there were some speeches from the representatives of Sanata Dharma University and ACICIS. Bapak Ouda Teda Ena, Vice Rector IV of Sanata Dharma University, gave his speech first. Then respectively, Ibu Bernardine Ria Lestari, Chief Director of Lembaga Bahasa USD, Bapak Adrian Budiman, ACICIS Resident Director, Ibu Maharani, APO of DSPP, and Ibu Elly, APO of CADPP, they gave their speeches about how this program work. They were very happy since the program ran smoothly and especially for CADPP. The program worked well even though this is the first time CADPP was held in Yogyakarta.

Special traditional dance was performed by Sanata Dharma students through Grisadha, a students’ unit that specialized in dancing. They performed a traditional dance from West Java. The students enjoyed the performance while they had their dinner. There was short video that wrap up the whole learning activity from the teacher. They laughed watching their own selves in the video. After a short break, there was announcement for the CADPP and DSPP social media ambassador. Pak Nitesh and mbak Jessica were the social media ambassador for keeping the social media account of this program up to date.

The last part of the closing ceremony was sharing session from several parties. Two students shared their experience during their learning process and working experience in the office. Two mentors also shared their experience on mentoring the students. They had an unforgettable experience during the internship. Sampai jumpa lagi sobat CADPP dan DSPP!
