6 September 2019 – 16 students from Darmasiswa program had arrived at Lembaga Bahasa Universitas Sanata Dharma. The students come from many nationalities. They students are from Russia, Belarus, Laos, Azerbaijan, Thailand, China, Poland, Japan, United Kingdom, Philippine, and Austria. They will study Bahasa Indonesia at Lembaga Bahasa for 2 semesters or 1 year. The program was held for the first time in 2008.

Bu Ria, the Head of Lembaga Bahasa Universitas Sanata Dharma, opened the opening ceremony by giving introduction about this institution. She explained about the facilities and the learning process here. Then, the academic coordinator explained the program plan for 1 year. He added the information about the teacher for Darmasiswa students. The ceremony was closed with the placement test.
